Description
This is a 1967 view of the US Coast Guard Base Woods Hole, with the buoy tender Hornbeam and a more modern cutter tied up. In the distance, perched on its own peninsula, is the Frank Lloyd Wright house. This view is from the back of the "MIT House", a Church Street residence owned by the Lunn family and used by MIT students and faculty as a place to stay while in Woods Hole. (That's Professor Carl Wunsch's sailboat riding at anchor.)
